New Character Practice

Character Practice - Progress 01

I started a new character practice today using the Illustration created by Chris G. Robinson. I really want to nail the Blizzard art style, and why not do that by creating an ORC! I will be posting my progress on my various blogs and forum threads. All critiques are welcome!

Stylized Squirrel Progress

Continued to work on my stylized squirrel character. I have completed the low poly base, completed the UVs, and have started to work on the Alpha hair for the character.

Dota 2 Sets (Axes)

Dota 2 Sets

I have become more and more interested in the art style of the popular MOBA Dota 2. I found out that users can create their own items and sets for the characters in game. I figured it would be a good bit of practice to start pumping out some item sets of my own. So without further adieu, here is a very rough concept for an idea of a set for Beastmaster.

Practice Illustration

I have decided to start to test out a new painting method using the Airbrush in combination with other brushes in Photoshop. I want to improve the overall quality of my illustrations, so I have been giving myself 1 hour each session to see how far I could get, to improve. Here are some JPEGs of the process.

Messing around with Dota 2 models. I am really thinking that I want to create a set for the Dota 2 Workshop.
